The software that literally thousands of Poker players have come to love over the last 4 years!

Not everyone agrees on how to play Poker but there's one thing all the experts do agree on: if you play the odds in Poker, you will win in the long run!
After all, that’s how all the casinos make their money day-in day-out when you play games such as Roulette, Blackjack or Craps. By having a small but significant mathematical house advantage they are sure to make money in the long run. In Poker, you’re actually playing against other players and not the casino so you too can ensure that you’re playing with the mathematics on your side.

Until recently, to play the odds in Poker, you would have had to have been some kind of mathematical genius to be able to perform all the necessary calculations in your head on-the-fly. That is, until Poker Pal appeared on the scene over 4 years ago.
Poker Pal is a small, neat Poker odds calculator that works with Texas Hold’em, Omaha (+Hi/Lo) and 7 Card Stud (+Hi/Lo). It works automatically with over 100 different online Poker rooms or you can enter your own card combinations to get instant odds. Here’s how it works:

The main feature of Poker Pal is the winning chance probability percentage. Consider a game of Texas Hold’em where there are 5 players total. Before the hole cards are even dealt, each player has a 1 in 5 (or 20%) chance of winning that hand. If, after the hole cards have been dealt, a player suddenly only has a 14% chance of winning, she would be making a mathematically incorrect call if she were to continue playing the hand. Knowing when to “hold’em” or “fold’em” is the key to being a successful Poker player. This is where most players—both novice and even some professionals—go wrong!
Additionally, Poker Pal integrates the use of pot odds (either true or implied) in it’s calculations. When you play online, Poker Pal keeps track of all the bets, calls and raises and automatically calculates pot odds on-the-fly. The object is simple: if your winning chance is greater than your pot odds percentage then it is mathematically favorable. If not, then the pot odds are unfavorable. Often, it is advisable to call with relatively bad cards (low win chance) simply because of favorable pot odds. The laws of mathematics suggests that, if you do so, you will profit in the long run.
Using all this information, Poker Pal will even give suggestions for new and novice players to help you learn the game. After using the software for a while as you play, you’ll find that your game improves and you’ll more readily recognize bad plays and missed opportunities.
In more scientific natured games such as Omaha Hi/Lo or any 7 Card Stud game, Poker Pal comes into it’s own by instantly helping you with the complex aspects of the game. For example, in 7 Card Stud, Poker Pal keeps track of all face up cards on the board and any that have been folded earlier in the hand. This information is taken into account when Poker Pal is performing calculations.

IS THIS CHEATING?
Certainly not! Poker Pal is simply a tool for providing odds and probabilities on your Poker hands. It's like having a giant Scarne's book of Poker odds at your finger tips - only much quicker to access.
Poker Pal doesn't violate the rules of any online Poker room. It does not share hole card information (eg. for collusion or team work, etc.) and it does not claim to play for you (eg. robot). Poker Pal simply helps a player with the highly complex mathematics of the game!

1. Card Odds (10)

The card odds are the probabilities of being dealt or drawing to various hands. These odds are reviewed in most books about poker. Table 4 is based on the card odds and shows the statistical frequency with which different poker hands occur.

There are 2,598,960 different poker hands in a fifty-two-card deck. If a player is dealt 100,000 hands in his lifetime, he will never hold (on his first five cards) more than 4 percent of all the possible hands.

Other poker probabilities based on the card odds are tabulated in Appendix D.

The card odds can reveal interesting information. For example. how many pat straight flushes will William Bennett get during his lifetime? To determine that number, the expected number of hands that will be dealt to him during his life is estimated by the following calculation:

From this estimation, the number of pat (on the first five cards) poker hands that William should get during his lifetime is calculated from the card odds and tabulated below:
