How to Host a Home Game

You have watched the pros battle it out on TV, and not want to battle it out with your friends but you have no clue how to start. These step will help run a successful home game.

1. Get Supplies

You will need to
purchase poker chips or already have a set. You will need a standard deck of 52 cards. Be sure to check or use an unopened deck. (You get very mad when you have been playing for 5 hours and get dealt pocket queen of hearts and have to call a miss tourny, trust me)

2. Find a Table

Dinning Room tables work well, as well as poker/card tables. Make sure the table is clean and the cards slide nicely over it.

3. Decide who's Dealer

Since you are hosting the game you decide who the dealer will be. You can have the deal pass around or pick one dealer for the whole tourny. I like to be the dealer if I am the host of the game.

4. Determine Buy-in

You get to decide how much the tournament is worth and how much the payouts are for. I like to payout to the top 3 remaining of the tourny to a 50% 30% 20% percent scale.
